Join us for the first hike of the season!

Join us on Sunday May 6th (1PM) as we kick off the 2012 hiking season with an afternoon hike at Bluff Point State Park in Groton, CT.  This 778-acre coastal reserve offers beautiful views of the Poquonock River Estuary and Long Island Sound with wooded and waterfront views ending in a steep, rocky bluff and sandy beach….a good place for water and a snack.  Please remember “garbage in, garbage out” as the scouts are working on their “Leave No Trace” badge and hiking pins & belt loops. The hike is relatively easy (approximately 2 miles round trip) with very little elevation and well maintained trails all the while.

If you are going to participate, please RSVP to your den leader so we know who will be coming. Don’t forget the sunscreen & water!
